HELLO
Hi, I'm Luis. I'm a 30-year-old photographer based in Springfield, Massachusetts, where I've spent most of my life. I graduated from the High School of Science and Technology (Sci-Tech) in 2013 and joined the Marine Corps immediately after. Serving six years mainly serving abroad.
While in the Marines, I traveled the world, spending time in Japan, South Korea, Spain, Chad, Armenia, the U.K., and Italy. While serving as an Embassy Security Guard in Yerevan, Armenia, in 2017, I truly fell in love with photography thanks to one of my many mentors, Paul. Since then, I've been passionate about capturing the world around me—architecture, wildlife, landscapes, portraits, and even the occasional wedding.
After leaving the military in 2019, I returned home and studied psychology at Springfield Technical Community College, graduating with an AA in Psychology in 2022. I then transferred to Springfield College and will completing my BS in Psychology in 2025. Alongside my studies, I work as a photographer for the college's marketing department and the student newspaper. As of May 12, 2025, I have helped photograph 72 events for Springfield College; I helped cover events ranging from networking functions, notable guest speaker book signings and Q&As, and graduations. Additionally, I have spent considerable time helping the Veteran Center at Springfield College, even establishing a club, the Student Veterans & Military Supporters Club, and a Student Veterans of America Branch.
Photography is more than just a craft for me—it's a way to tell stories, preserve memories, and celebrate life's moments, big and small. I'm always honored to capture moments that others can cherish forever.
Looking forward to working with you—feel free to reach out through the contact page.
